How to play Hearts
You against Theo, Jade and Finn
Goal: the lowest score. Each heart you take costs 1 point and the Queen of Spades costs 13.
Passing: before each hand you pass three cards — to Theo, then to Finn, then to Jade, then a hand with no passing. Then it starts again.
First trick: whoever holds the 2♣ leads it. Nobody may play a heart or the Q♠ on the first trick unless they have nothing else.
Following: play a card of the suit that was led if you have one. If you don’t, play any card. The highest card of the led suit takes the trick and leads the next.
Breaking hearts: hearts can’t be led until a heart (or the Q♠) has been played on an earlier trick — unless you hold nothing but hearts.
Shooting the moon: take every heart and the Q♠ in one hand and you score 0, while everyone else takes 26.
Ending: when anyone reaches 100, the game ends. The lowest total wins.
Playing a card: tap a card to lift it, tap it again to play it — or use Play.
Keyboard: ← → move through your hand, Enter lifts or plays the card, H hint, L last trick, S sort, Escape closes a panel.
