Description
Mini baccarat is a fast, simple table game with no in-hand decisions to worry about. Place a bet on Player, Banker or Tie, then watch the fixed drawing rules play out automatically. This free online version requires no download, so it is easy to start playing.## How to Play
### Place Your Bet
Bet on which of the two hands, Player or Banker, will finish with the higher total, or bet that they will Tie. Player and Banker are simply the names of the hands and betting spots. You do not deal the cards or act as either hand.
The minimum bet is $5 and the maximum is $2,000.
### Card Values and Hand Totals
Mini baccarat uses an eight-deck shoe, reshuffled at roughly 90% penetration. Player and Banker each begin with two cards.
Aces count as one, cards from 2 to 9 keep their face value, and tens, jacks, queens and kings count as zero. Only the final digit of the combined value matters. For example, a 7 and an 8 total 15, so the hand value is 5.
### Naturals and Automatic Third Cards
A two-card total of 8 or 9 is called a natural. If either hand has a natural, the round ends immediately and neither hand receives another card.
If there is no natural, the Player hand automatically receives a third card on a total of 0–5 and stands on 6–7. The Banker hand then follows a fixed table based on its own total and the Player hand’s third card, if one was dealt.
Every draw is determined automatically. There is no option to hit, stand, fold or request another card.
### Payouts
* Player bets pay 1 to 1.
* Banker bets pay 1 to 1, minus a 5% commission deducted only from winning Banker bets.
* Tie bets pay exactly 8 to 1.
* If the result is a Tie, Player and Banker bets are pushed and their stakes are returned.
* Player Pair and Banker Pair side bets pay 11 to 1 when the selected hand’s first two cards form a pair.
## Tips to Get Started
* Banker is mathematically the best main bet, even after accounting for the 5% commission on wins.
* Player offers a straightforward even-money alternative without a commission.
* The Tie bet’s 8 to 1 payout looks attractive, but it carries a much higher house edge than Player or Banker.
* Pair side bets can make a round more exciting, but their house edge is noticeably higher than the main bets. Treat them as occasional entertainment rather than a core approach.

## Strategy Tips### Treat strategy as bet selection
Mini Baccarat has no in-hand decisions to master. Every card is handled automatically, so the only meaningful strategic choice is whether to bet on Banker, Player, Tie or a side bet.
### Banker is the strongest main bet
Banker has the lowest house edge at 1.06%, compared with 1.24% for Player. It wins about 45.9% of all hands, slightly more than Player’s 44.6%, because the fixed drawing rules give it a small advantage.
### Understand the Banker commission
A winning Banker bet pays slightly less than even money because a 5% commission is deducted from the winnings only, not from your original stake. That commission is what allows the house to offer Banker despite it winning more frequently than Player.
### Be wary of the Tie payout
The 8 to 1 payout may look tempting, but the Tie bet carries a 14.36% house edge. That is more than ten times the Banker house edge, making Tie a costly choice over repeated play.
### Keep Pair bets as occasional entertainment
Player Pair and Banker Pair each have a house edge of roughly 10.4%. They can add variety, but they are not improved versions of the main bets and should be treated as higher-cost entertainment rather than a reliable strategy.
